Part-timer helpPart-timer FAQ
Applying, QR check-in, ratings, eligibility and payment — answered.
How do I create an account?
Download the JobsThrough app, open it and follow the registration steps. You will need your name, email address, mobile number and a password. Complete your profile afterwards — employers shortlist based on what they can see.
How do I find part-time jobs near me?
Use the search filters for location, preferred hours and job type. Available shifts matching your criteria appear in the listing feed.
How do I apply?
Tap a listing to read the full details, then tap Apply and complete any steps the employer has set, such as answering screening questions or attaching your resume.
Can I choose my own hours?
Yes. Most listings are single shifts or short runs of dates, so you pick what fits your week. Filter by availability to see only the shifts you can actually take.
Where do I see my applications and upcoming shifts?
Your dashboard shows application status, confirmed shifts and notifications. Check it before each shift for any changes from the employer.
How do I check in and out of a shift?
On arrival, open the app, choose Check-In and scan the employer's QR code. At the end of the shift, do the same using Check-Out. Both scans together are what record your hours.
The QR code will not scan. What now?
Ask your employer for the manual check-in procedure and make sure they note your start and end times. Then contact support through the Help section so the record can be reviewed.
When and how do I get paid?
Employers pay part-timers directly. JobsThrough does not process wages or guarantee payment. Agree the payment method and timing with your employer before the shift. If payment is delayed, raise it with the employer first — you can also contact us for guidance.
Am I eligible to work part-time in Singapore?
You must have the legal right to work in Singapore. This includes citizens, permanent residents and holders of certain visit passes. Individuals on an S Pass, Work Permit or Employment Pass are not eligible to take on part-time work through this platform.
What is expected of me on the job?
Turn up on time, complete the agreed hours, follow reasonable workplace instructions and treat everyone respectfully. The full standard is set out in our Code of Conduct for Part Timers, which forms part of the Terms of Use.
How do ratings affect me?
Employers rate punctuality, work quality and professionalism from one to five stars after a completed shift. Ratings sit on your profile and influence how visible you are and whether employers confirm you for future jobs. Strong ratings lead to better opportunities; repeated no-shows and poor ratings make it harder to get confirmed.
Can a rating be removed?
Ratings are generally final once submitted. We may remove or amend one where it resulted from fraud, was submitted in error, is demonstrably false, or breaches our Terms.
What happens if I cannot make a confirmed shift?
Tell the employer as early as you reasonably can through the app. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may affect your ratings and your access to the platform.
Why should I turn notifications on?
Notifications tell you when an employer shortlists you, sends a message, asks a question or confirms your shift. With them off, you will miss opportunities that move quickly.
Is my personal information safe?
Your data is handled in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act and protected with encryption, password hashing and access controls. Read the Privacy Policy for what we collect and how long we keep it.
How do I delete my account?
Use the account deletion function inside the app. Deleting your account permanently disables access and may affect ongoing jobs, pending applications, messages and ratings, so settle anything outstanding first.
I have a technical problem.
