Employer helpEmployer FAQ
Posting shifts, shortlisting, QR attendance, credits and payment — answered.
How do I post a job?
Log in to your employer account, open Create Job Posting, and fill in the job title, description, location, working hours, dates and requirements. Submit the listing for approval — once approved it becomes visible to suitable part-timers.
Work dates must fall within one month of the first available work date.
How do I review and shortlist applicants?
Applicants apply through the app with their profile attached. You can review skills, experience, ratings and past feedback, and use the filters to narrow the list. Message an applicant if you need more detail about their experience before shortlisting.
How do I contact applicants?
Use the in-app messaging system. Messaging opens once an applicant has been shortlisted, and you can use it to ask questions, arrange interviews or send briefing instructions.
How is attendance tracked?
Part-timers check in and out by scanning a QR code. Have a supervisor or designated representative on site with the QR code ready at the start and end of the shift. Using the scan properly is what makes the job summary reflect the hours actually worked.
How do I rate part-timers?
After each shift you can rate on categories such as punctuality, work quality and professionalism, using a one to five star scale. Honest, constructive feedback helps part-timers improve and keeps standards up for everyone hiring on the platform.
If you do not submit a rating before the deadline shown in your notification, a default four-star rating is applied.
What if a part-timer does not turn up?
Message them through the app to record that they were absent and will not be paid, so there is a record of it. Contact us if you need help arranging an urgent replacement. You may also rate the part-timer to reflect what happened.
How are part-timers paid?
Employers pay part-timers directly. JobsThrough does not process wages, hold funds or guarantee payment. Arrange payment with your part-timers based on the hours worked, and use the job summary as your reference.
How do notifications work?
Keep notifications switched on to receive alerts about new applications, messages, attendance reminders and rating deadlines. Part-timers should do the same so they see shortlisting updates and your questions in time.
What is the easiest way to manage a job with several part-timers?
For larger teams, many employers set up a group chat for the shift so briefing details, timing changes and instructions reach everyone at once. Confirmations, attendance and ratings still run through the app.
Is there a premium subscription?
Yes. Premium Membership includes benefits such as a set number of job posts each month, better visibility for your listings and access to additional features. Membership benefits belong to the subscribing employer and cannot be transferred.
I am not a premium member — how do I post jobs?
Buy credits inside the app. Credits can be used to post jobs, boost a listing so more part-timers see it, and shortlist additional candidates beyond the standard limit. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded for cash.
What does a boost actually do?
A boost raises the visibility of a job posting for one calendar day. When it expires the job stays published — only the promotional placement ends. Boosts do not guarantee a minimum number of applications.
Is my company data secure?
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and held on secure cloud infrastructure with role-based access controls and audit logging. Our full practices, including how long each type of record is kept, are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Something is not working. Who do I contact?
Use the Help section in the app or email support@jobsthrough.com. Include your job title and the date so we can find the record quickly.
